Family Vehicle Numbers

In an effort to promote safety, accountability, and a streamlined process, we are instituting a Family Vehicle Number policy. Your family has been assigned a number and has been provided with a yellow card showing your number. Every time you pick up your child(ren), whether daily or only a few times during the year, you must show your yellow number card through the car window. Having the card on your dashboard does not allow for our dismissal staff to be able to see it. If someone other than you is picking up your child(ren) they must have your family’s number card in order to claim your child(ren). If you would like more than one copy of your yellow number card, contact the school office to request one.

Coming this fall... #BCSSERVE

As promised in Mr Warner's State of the School address last spring, we are launching BCS SERVE this year which will be our year-long, all ages missions team. The aim of BCS SERVE will be to provide ongoing and consistent opportunities for our families to serve in the community. BCS SERVE will organize service projects locally and through travel, with opportunities appropriate for many different age groups. Our capstone service project will be our annual Serve-a-Thon in the spring. We are excited to see the extended impact we can make when we work together.

As we kick off the first year of this new initiative, we are planning to buy our yearly serving t-shirts in the fall, rather than waiting until the spring Serve-a-Thon. As we did for last year's Serve-a-Thon t-shirt, we will be hosting a contest to choose the t-shirt color: green, yellow, or black. You can place your vote tonight at Back to School Night!

BCS Serve tshirt colors.jpg

Additionally, we need t-shirt sizes for your child. If your child's shirt size has changed since last year's spring Serve-a-Thon, or if you are a new family, please email Beth Bromwell (bbromwell@berkschristian.org) with the sizes of t-shirts for your children. If we hear nothing from you, we will reorder the size your child wore in the spring. Orders will be placed September 1st, so submit your size changes by TODAY.

New Chromebook Policy and Procedure

All of our 9th-12th grade students will be provided with a Chromebook from BCS for the entirety of the school year. Each student will have their device with them throughout the school day, and will be able to take their Chromebook home each night as well.

A number of Chromebooks will still be available for middle school and elementary students to check out during specific classes or study halls, just like last year.

More information (and paperwork!) coming at Back to School Night on 8/31.

Mark October 7th on your calendars now for our annual Homecoming. If you know of a company who may like to donate something to our auction, please contact Mrs Bromwell (bbromwell@berkschristian.org). If you can help on October 7th, please sign up here.
